Musical sound sequences have been specially composed and configured, and include syllabic rhythm of corresponding visual images. No language skills necessary. Ages 2 to 99 Category: Fruits/Vegetables Level 3: Word cards in addition to rearranged images and their shapes, musical sound sequences. Word cards included in guided discovery: a musical sound pattern becomes the sound symbol to represent the meaning of an image, its shape, and its word card Musical sound patterns + Visual Images + Shapes of the images + Written language symbols + Motor action Discover: touch images of different fruits/vegetables, their shapes or the word cards on the screen and listen to corresponding musical sound sequences specially composed and matched with each visual object 3 second duration syllabic rhythm presented 3 times in different pitch ranges prerecorded acoustic violin, percussion instruments and keyboard Compare: elements of musical sound sequences timbre rhythmic contour and accents melodic contour tempo Connect the sound symbol to the meaning: recognize that the same musical sound sequence represents the image, its shape, and written language symbol Matching: Listen to a musical sound sequence Compare to experiences from previous screens Use visual cues if available Drag the matching fruit/vegetable visual image, shape or word card to the question box Keep track of your actions in the end of the app: number of answers correct Have fun
